Pastor Roundtable Discussions

These are groups of 8-10 pastors and staff members who meet every 6- 8 weeks. They meet to discuss an agreed upon topic for about an hour and a half. It is a very positive way to mentor and coach one another. However, it may be even more beneficial for encouragement and accountability.

We have two excellent pastor/leaders who are both excited about guiding these groups. Pastor Brent Prentice of Eagle Heights will lead one group in the Stillwater area. Pastor Michael Martin of FBC Cushing will lead a second group. If you are interested or have questions contact Scott. We want to begin these pastor roundtables very soon.

Attention Church Treasurers

You should be receiving a letter soon along with a contribution statement from the Cimarron Association Office. The financial statement is an annual report of your church’s contributions to the CBA.
There are several reasons for this information being sent to you. First, we want you to check your records with ours to help ensure accuracy. This is also another layer of transparency and accountability. We also want to express our gratitude one more time for your church’s support of our ministry together.

A Different Kind of Revival

We are all still struggling with social distancing and trying to keep people safe. So, can we plan for and schedule a revival?
Well… here’s a unique idea that has actually been quite successful at one of our CBA churches. It’s a parking lot revival! Pastor/Evangelist George Marty Brock has been utilizing this type of worship service at different times at Olive Baptist Church for the last several months.
It consists of a partially enclosed trailer that can be transported and a FM transmitter. People can remain in their vehicles, tune into the FM radio channel and view the evangelist from the comfort of their car or truck. FBC Olive’s parking lot has been filled twice on Sunday mornings and again on Sunday evenings and Wednesday nights during all of the pandemic.
Here’s the best news, Pastor Brock is available to bring the trailer and every-thing you need to your church for a parking lot revival. You will have some people attend because this is so unique; however it is very safe and secure. Others will come because people are anxious to get out of their home and go somewhere. For more information call George Brock at 918-285-1954 or Scott Morie 918-695-6644.

Conversations with Pastors

The Director of Missions is attempting to interview a different pastor every week on FaceBook Live.
This has been so beneficial for everyone in the CBA to meet the various Pastors, learn about their families and hear how God is using churches. Each conversation is less than ten minutes, but it’s enough time to get a glimpse of the variety and ministry of the CBA.
Many people will not catch “Conversations with Pastors” live, however you can view it later on our FaceBook page. You can also view earlier interviews.

Cimarron Celebrates

Thanks to Pastor Dustin Long and the good people of Kellyville for hosting Cimarron’s Annual Meeting. Even in the midst of COVID we had 165 Messengers and Guests from 34 different churches.

The presenters and worship leaders all led in a wonderful way. Pastor D.J. Carney “Did His Job” well in preaching the Annual Message and God used Dr. Hance Dilbeck to lead Cimarron Association in Advancing the Gospel together “Unhindered”. Various video clips from the IMB, Cooperative Program and our Missionaries in Calgary were encouraging.

Congratulations to our two Pastors of the Year, James Lame from FBC Depew and Larry Calvert of FBC Oilton. Special thanks to our 2020 Moderator, Pastor Jonathan Gilliland and welcome to our 2021 Moderator D.J. Carney, pastor of FBC Bristow.
It was exciting to have our Disaster Relief Laundry Trailer on site delivered by Myron and Linda Long. The evening dinner was outstanding even with an overflowing crowd in the Fellowship Hall. We welcome five new pastors to the Association and five new staff members.

Caring Well….For Children & Students

Whether we want to admit it or not, there are predators living in our communities. They need the Lord just like all each of us and hopefully would be able to find the Lord Jesus Christ in any of our churches. However, we have a huge responsibility to protect our little ones.

That is the purpose of the “Caring Well” Ministry. One of our two leaders/trainers in this important ministry ,Jennifer White, gave a powerful presentation at our Cimarron Annual Meeting. Please call our DOM for a presentation and/or training by one of these two ladies in your church.
