We may not be able to take a VISION trip to Calgary this spring, but the Cimarron Association is presently planning a MISSION trip to Calgary this summer. Ben Mitchell is the team leader of the CBA Partnership/Missions team and has been on a vision trip to Calgary. Ben would like to lead an association mission trip to Calgary this summer.
Though we don’t yet have specific dates, it will probably be in late July or early August. We need to get the word out to our churches. Ideally, we would like one, two or three individuals from about six of our churches to form a CBA team of twelve people. If you have an interest or questions call Scott at the CBA office or Ben Mitchell at Hillcrest Baptist in Stillwater.
Children’s Camp:
- Week 1 – June 1st-4th
- Week 2 – June 8th-11th
- Week 3 – June 15th-18th
Be sure to download the consent form that each child needs to have filled out by their parents. This is very important that we have this on file for each child attending Camp Lela this year.
Churches will need to provide 1 sponsor for every 7 campers registered.
Cost is $75 per camper. Checks should be made payable to the church that your child is registered with.
Checks will be cashed upon receipt. If for some reason a registered camper cannot attend, the Associational Office needs to be notified at least one week BEFORE the beginning of camp for the registration fee to be refunded.
Camp is for children who will be in grades 4-7 next year (not older than 13 years old).
All blanks must be filled in for the camper to be properly registered. A parent’s signature needs to be on this form along with phone numbers to reach you at all times. Your child’s registration fee should be sent with this form. No pre-registrations can be transferred to another person.

The interest from our churches in connecting with mission churches in Calgary has been exceedingly positive. Last April we had 12 individuals from 11 different churches committed to go on a vision trip, plus others who wanted to go, but could not at that time. Unfortunately the vision trip in April had to be cancelled, along with a summer mission trip because of COVID.
We tentatively have been discussing a vision trip this November, but again, that may not be possible. Therefore, be praying and planning for a rescheduled vision trip to Calgary in the spring.
A missionary is someone who senses a call from God and is sent by their church to a specific place. They may have different tasks, but their primary mission is the Great Commission, to win people to Jesus and disciple Christians.
FBC, Drumright is praying for a few missionary couples or families from CBA sister churches to come over and help. We are not asking them to be permanent, but if they could serve 12-18 months and then return to their home church. With the help of a few missionary families, FBC Drumright could become healthy again and begin to grow on their own. For more information you can call Pastor Monty McGee at 918-833-0979 or Scott Morie – 918-695-6644.
