Richard Brewster Celebrates 10 Years as Camp Lela Caretaker

Thanks to Pastor Irvin Haken, his wife Lois and the FBC Glencoe deacons for hosting and serving over 50 CBA people for our May Executive Board Meeting. The catered BBQ meal was excellent. We had some good ministry reports and approved a new 2021-2022 CBA budget unanimously.
However, the highlight of the evening was to recognize and congratulate Richard Brewster, our longest serving caretaker at Camp Lela. He received a plaque and $1000.00 for this major milestone.

NEW DR TRAILER BARN FUND GOES PAST $15,000

The information is slowly getting out that Cimarron Association is seeking donations for our new trailer barn. You may ask, “What happened to our old trailer barn?” Well, it is still good and extremely beneficial. It’s just full! It currently is protecting our chainsaw trailer, block party trailer, van, a third trailer and an aerial lift.
We need a second trailer barn to house our 38’ x 9’ x11’ laundry trailer, a construction trailer and a flood recovery trailer. Our goal is to raise $60,000. Over the past two months many of our disaster relief volunteers have given sacrificial gifts that amounted to almost $10,000 and thus helped the total fund to be $15,410.00.
If you would like to contribute, you can bring or mail a check to the Cimarron Association Office, 316 E. Grandstaff, Cushing, OK 74023. For more information or questions, you can call our Director of Missions, Scott Morie 918-695-6644.

CBA’s Summer Missionary

Elijah Walls is a Native American who grew up in Ardmore. He had a dramatic salvation as a teenager and joined FBC Ardmore. Later when he was called to the ministry, longtime FBC pastor Alton Fannin mentored him.
Elijah is 25 years old and working to complete his Master of Divinity from Midwestern Baptist Seminary. Elijah is available to our churches to preach, teach or help with a mission project. You can call him at 580/798/7729. All of our visiting missionaries helped out each of the three weeks of children’s camp at Camp Lela.
